The St. Andrew Youth group is made up of high school and middle school youth who are interested in God, service, learning, and fun!
Every three years, the youth participate in the ELCA Youth Gathering, together with around 30,000 other youth and adult leaders from around the country. At the gathering, there is time to serve the community, worship every night in a mass gathering at an arena, and fun activities ranging from ziplines to liturgical dress-up! In the summer of 2018, the youth went to the gathering in Houston, and they are looking forward to the gathering in Minneapolis in 2021!
An on-going fundraiser that supports the Youth Group is the collection of bottles and cans. If you have any clean aluminum cans or plastic bottles, you may drop them off in the hallway by the nursery to be redeemed for funds later used for youth group activities.
An annual fundraiser that happens every winter is the Super Bowl Pizza fundraiser. If you want pizza for you and your family and friends, and you’d also like to support the youth group, you can get some great pizza at a great price. We also allow for pizzas to be purchased as a donation to those in need at either the Willis Dady Shelter and/or Waypoint/Madge Phillips.
